This workshop covers the basic techniques of creating a piece of paper by using the authentic Japanese sugeta (molds/tools) with the material of Kozo (paper material).

The rakusuishi has many beautiful dots which are made by putting the paper under a shower. The water drops create various designs on the paper. Additionally, if you bring your own materials such as a leaf, other patterns/designs can be formed by spraying water though putting leaves on a newly formed sheet as below.

For the Patterned Paper, reservations are available in the following timeslots. Reservation places are limited to allow guests sufficient time to enjoy forming/designing the paper. If you are not available during the given time slots, please choose a "Private class", so that we can arrange time for you.
The decorative materials will be provided. (Assortment of dried leaves, flowers, grasses, and a variety of decorative paper) You can bring your own materials as well. (Please note: thick or water resistant materials might be difficult to form good quality or smooth paper.) Please enjoy decorating the paper and making your original artwork.
